Neem Cake (Neemkhali) as per IS 8558

Neem cake, or neem khali, specified (for manuring), is an
organic manure derived from the residue of neem seed
after oil extraction, used to provide a natural source of
nutrients and act as a crop protector from pests like
nematodes. The standard defines general requirements
for the quality of neem cake as a manure, and while
specific parameters like
minimum Azadirachtin content, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, a
nd Potassium levels are typically included in
specifications for the product itself, the IS 8558 standard
provides the overarching framework for its use as an
organic manure.
